Fondest greetings, dear friend.

My name is Helen and I bid you a warm welcome to my little blog, where I attempt to immortalize memories of everyday life, particularly the beauty of all I love and appreciate, including adventures with my sweet family, crafty creations, tasty encounters, travelingevent planning, and, most importantly, Jesus Christ.

I married the love of my life in 2012, and this blog’s name is a tribute to the acronym of our names, Alex & Helen, for our wedding's theme was AH, that’s love. We are blessed with five little loves: Serene, Valor, Reverie, Verity, and Candor. I am a homeschooling stay-at-home mama who plans weddings on the side. Before that, I had roles as a community event planner, in education nonprofit, as a middle and high school English teacher, and as an entertainment executive assistant. I attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), obtaining Bachelor’s degrees in Mass Communication and Sociology. I also received a Master’s degree in Urban Education with a concentration in Policy and Administration. My husband is a pastor and we spend much of our time with our church family, to whom we are committed in order to love one another and to love others in our community and, hopefully, one day, to the ends of the earth.

Although much in life gives me joy, nothing grants me as much joy as knowing my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I am a sinner saved by grace since 2005, and God is at the center of my life, which I hope you shall ascertain as you peruse my blog. Jesus Christ is my cause for His is the one eternal. I've found and continue to find everyday that true joy, peace, and hope in every circumstance comes from God, who, in His unparalleled mercy, humbly gave His life on the cross for sinners like me so that we might live to enjoy and love God in all facets of life because He loved us first. I am daily floored by this greatest act of sacrificial love that, by His grace alone, sets the precedence for my responsive desire to live a life that honors Him and shares with the world this very good news.

All in all, thank you so much for taking time to stop by and browse around, dear friend. My hope as you read this little blog is that you would see Christ in these everyday circumstances of life - the lovely, the messy, and God's grace that shines through it all. You can also find me on Instagram.
