All feels topsy-turvy around here, so I've been negligent of this little space and haven't been making time to write. We are in the midst of 36 weeks, so we could be welcoming the baby so very soon! All looked swell at the doctor's appointment this week, thankfully. I'm nervous about labor and delivery as a first-time mama-to-be who has no idea what's going on, but we're praying for tons of God's grace and mercy, and are ever grateful for medical breakthroughs like the epidural. When one of our friends asked Alex if he was ready for me to give birth, he replied, "Is there medication for husbands?" HAHA.

I just started working from home since we are in month 9 and the baby could arrive at her own whim. I feel like time has crept up on us because other facets of our lives have been competing priorities. Our goals this week are to clean the pigsty of our little home, install the car seat, finish packing our hospital bag, and watch an online childbirth class. I daresay we have all we need (when it comes to material things) for this little one, and so much more. We've been so blessed by the amazingly generous people in our lives. My coworker chummies threw us a surprise baby shower a couple of weeks ago, and our lovely church family threw us a sweet shower this weekend past.

By the way, are you all anticipating fall, or what? Our neck of woods has been dreadfully warm though autumn is fast-approaching, so my pregnant body temperature does not make me a happy camper of late. It makes me crave liquid nitrogen ice cream, which was SO legit when we tried it per a friend's recommendation here last month. Definitely some of the best (handmade-in-front-of-your-face-right-when-you-order-it) ice cream I've ever had!
