Back at our happy place
We took Serene to her first Disneyland adventure three weeks ago as a little family celebration for her birthday. We weren't sure how we'd fare at a theme park all day with a one-year-old, but we survived - maybe even thrived a tad! Our little love had a jolly grand time. She was fascinated by the ambience enough to hardly nap a wink throughout the day. We went on a few rides, and she loved "It's a Small World" most. We found her enjoyment so endearing we ended up trekking over to the park the next couple of weeks. We used to have annual passes, but didn't renew when we got pregnant. Ever since Serene has been born, Alex has been dreaming and saving up for passes again so that we can gallivant to Disneyland for family days this year. Though we are huge fans of the happiest place on earth, we love it even more when we discovered how baby-friendly the park is. Disneyland's and DCA's baby centers are so incredibly legit: grandiose, luxurious facilities to supply all of baby's and parents' needs. So thankful for kid-friendly amenities, which we couldn't fathom pre-parenthood.

I live in Florida so we go to Disney World here. It's 2.5 hours drive from our house. I started taking my daughter there after she turned 1 as well. I remember my first trip there with my daughter..just the two of us...I had the diaper bag with me, stroller, a smaller bag...it was A LOT to carry..and strangers were so kind helping me to unload/load my stuff from/to the tram and even held my daughter while I got everything ready. Inside the park, the cast members were always helpful---they helped me carry my food tray to the table, they kept my daughter occupied while I paid for stuff, etc. I love Disney. I've been taking my daughter there for almost a little over 3 years now. We have the annual passes so I try to take her there once a week on the weekend. We'd take overnight trip or sometimes just a day trip. She loves it. It's her favorite place to visit. And being a girl, of course she is very into the princesses and castle and all that :) Just like your daughter, my daughter also loves The Small World ride! She calls it the Puppets House haha.... Recently she started riding the rollercoasters and boy did she love it! She would ask me to take her to ride the rollercoasters 2 -3 times in a row! The other Disney's park she loves is the Animal Kingdom. She loves going on the safari ride and watching the Lion King show. For me, it doesn't matter where we go as long as she is happy. Seeing my daughter laughing and giggling everytime we go to Disney is a joy to me :)
ReplyDeleteWhen your daughter turns 3, you should get her the Princess Makeover! They have that here. You'd have to make the reservation weeks in advance. It is a bit pricey but worth it. I did it for my daughter's 3rd and 4th birthday. I also took her to have dinner inside the Cinderella's castle for her birthdays (this one, I had to reserve the spots waaayyy ahead of time as they get booked fast). She LOVED it!!! She didn't care much for the food. She loved seeing the princesses, talking to them in person, giving them hugs, and having them sing the birthday song to her. I hope she'll remember all these stuff haha!
