Anniversary in Arrowhead
Our time up in Lake Arrowhead last week was a refreshing respite. It was Alex's first jaunt there and I hadn't been there since my 6th grade class trip, so we encountered unchartered territory as a family. We spent most of our time in the little cabin we rented and at the lake. We also had a gastronomically excellent anniversary dinner at this French bistro. It was just nice to get away from the everyday and celebrate three years of God's kindness in our marriage. Serene had a blast on vacation too; it was so endearing to watch her enjoy the littlest things ("da-dak!" (ducks) "bur!" (birds) "ish!" (fish) with childlike awe. Several people advised us not to bring her with us on our trip, but we're so glad we did. She brings us such joy; plus, our vacation in Arrowhead was also our last family trip before we become a family of four.

Lovely pictures. We use to go there sometimes when I was younger. It's so pretty there. I'm glad you brought your daughter too. She is such a joy. :) Love,
