We spent part of Memorial Day weekend at a new indoor water park not too far from us. I'm officially bitten by the water park bug! My dear aunt hauled a bunch of our family to Great Wolf Lodge for quality time together, and we had a lovely time. The resort was extremely kid-friendly, which granted us much relief. Our hotel room was a short walk away so that we could retreat to rest at any time. Because the water park was indoors, we didn't worry about pervasive heat or the need to constantly lather on sunscreen. Serene took to the water like a fish, darting through the kiddie area with audacity and speed. Valor, on the other hand, preferred the safety of our arms during his first water park adventure and did not warm up to the water until the very end. Alex booked it for the big kid slides right away, while I dawdled in the kiddie area with the babes, my aunt, and cousins. I wasn't a fan of water parks in the past, but now we're looking forward to our next trip back.
