We were en route to Las Vegas earlier this week for a simultaneous babymoon and early anniversary trip, thanks to my dear aunt's and her friend's generosity. We got to experience vacation in a lavish suite at the Paris Hotel, which likened to the life of the bourgeoisie. The kids adored the mounted television, the gargantuan bathtub, the plushy beds, and the ample space to run around. Besides lounging at the hotel, we just ambled around the Strip and gorged ourselves at too many buffets (Alex's request and trip highlight). Traveling with toddlers is a formidable venture and even more so at eight and a half months pregnant, so keeping our itinerary leisurely was the goal. Thankfully, everything was but a short jaunt away and the weather was breezy and divine, a contrast to the scorching heat I'd ever only experienced when visiting the city. It was one of the nicest family vacations we've been on, and now we are feeling refreshed and ready for a new season of life in a few weeks, Lord willing.
