The kids have been uttering the most winsome things. Serene is theologically thoughtful (see here) and decisively paves the way for her siblings to follow, bestowing conversation upon any willing recipient, ending each sentence with a high-pitched inflection that bespeaks her effortless enthusiasm. Valor is stringing together endearing, raspy-voiced phrases consisting of more than one word and zealously exclaiming in his own language what he cannot yet articulate for the common ear, garnering amused chuckles from all who hears. Reverie coos sweetly and unabashedly through her effervescent smiles at any beaming face within her line of sight so that we're further convinced babies are one of God's greatest gifts. A collection of such conversational gems follows:

Serene: Where's Daddy?
Me: He's working.
Serene: At the church building?
Me: No, he's at a meeting with other pastors because he's a pastor.
Serene: Oh, but not with Pastor Ed because he's in heaven?
Me: Yup.
Serene: I want to go [to heaven] with Mommy, Daddy, Booboo, and Reverie Hope because we're a family.

Valor: Daddy, han. Han?
Serene: No, Booboo, Daddy can't hold your hand. God will hold your hand, Booboo.

Valor: Rahz (Rice).
Me: Rice?
Valor: (nods)
Serene: Booboo, you can't just eat rice. You have to eat eggs too. You have to eat real food.
Valor: Ooooh!

Serene: Daddy, can I have this mermaid for my birthday?
Alex: Okay Sereney, but isn't she immodest?
Serene: She's not immodest; she's just a mermaid.

Serene: Mama, you have to have two waters [for me and Booboo] because we're selfish.

Valor: Ay! Sheeshee? (Hey! What's this?)

Serene: Is Moana immodest because she shows her belly?

Valor: Jiejie! ShehSheh! (Big sister! Share!)

Alex: (reading from a storybook) Sin spoils things...God said to the people, "You can't live with me in my garden anymore."
Valor: Oh no. Oh noooo.

Valor: Hi Mommy!
Me: Hi Booboo!
Valor: Baby? Baby?
Me: You want to say hi to your baby sister?
Valor: Yeah!

Serene: Daddy, I don't want to go to heaven.
Alex: Why don't you want to go to heaven?
Serene: Because I'll die. I just want to stay in my house.
