Ten years

Just a few photos of our visit to the Huntington Library on our ten-year anniversary, a tribute to where Alex proposed to me eleven years ago. We never would have imagined our lives to look like this now. God is kind and gracious! Look here to see us on engagement day!

First snow day of the year

We had a fun, though short-lived, first snow day of the year. It took 3x longer to get in and out of all the layers of clothing than it did to play in the snow. It was incredibly sanctifying; I don't know how parents in colder climates do it! We also don't have proper snow gear, so most of the kids were wet and cold in no time. I went on a thrifting spree to procure snow gear after this day. Hopefully we'll be able to get another snow day in before spring arrives.

Serene's 8th birthday adventure

Serene's birthday request was to go to Disney's California Adventure, so we had to make it happen! We haven't been since Serene was a baby, so it was a brand new experience for all the kids. While the kids all had so much fun, I was surprised by how much fun I had too. I had low expectations but God was so gracious to allow us to enjoy 12 full hours at the park. Serene kept saying that it was the best day ever. Praise God!

Annual apple picking adventuring

We weren’t sure if we’d go apple picking this year because we’re in the midst of a full season, but so glad we did! Thankful for traditions like this that create fun memories through the years. We've gone ever since Alex & I have been married. This year was Candor's first time apple picking, so obviously we all fawned over him.
