Happy Friday, cheery chums! Oh boy, I'm a-looking forward to tomorrow when I needn't feel the urge to pound my snooze button to smithereens. When we are favored with a few extra hours to sleep in on Saturdays, we are predisposed to commemorating the morning with breakfast together, which doesn't occur during the work week. At times, that implicates fresh omelettes with all the fixins. Sometimes it's pancakes hot off the griddle accompanied by scrambled eggs. More often than not, we have quick and simple breakfasts (e.g. whole grain waffles with agave nectar and plump blueberries, fresh-picked strawberries with Nutella, and decadent madeleines) to feed our stomachs, along with some reading to more substantially feed our souls. Such Saturday morns are notably sweet.
I am ever thankful for my love who faithfully shepherds my heart and leads me closer to our Lord. I perused this heartfelt post a few days prior that impressed upon my heart the wisdom and kindness of the Lord through His design for marriage. The winsome components in marriage sure are dandy, which this clever article affirms, but we mustn't forget, by His grace, the big picture of what marriage is truly about: to reflect God's sacrificial love for His church for His ultimate glory.
I love being married to Helen Hong!
