Our Joyous Day: save the date

We are skipping with merriment around here because we recently received our wedding pictures from our amazing photographer and dear friend, Christian Cruz! Christian captured the day so perfectly that it has been a thrill seeing the immortalized images because the Joyous Day back in March was a colossal, happy blur for us. We spent eight months since the perfectly poppin' proposal prepping for the wedding, but when the Joyous Day arrived, everything transpired so quickly that we could hardly remember everything, except that we got married in the cherished company of our dearest family and friends before our kind and gracious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! I can hardly wait to share some of Christian's awe-inspiring work with you all, so kindly save the date to join us here next week for a week's worth of wedding posts! The Mister and I were so nervous to record our letters to each another during the shoot; we actually didn't know what we were "writing" to one another until we saw the final product! Cakeflix did a breathtakingly beautiful job, and definitely made the Mister and me appear loads more charming than we can ever hope to be in real life. They actually went above and beyond and snapped pictures of us at each of the locations in our save-the-date video, so find the rest of our engagement photos here on our wedding website.

Can you tell that the name for this blog derives from our wedding website? AH is actually an acronym for our names: Alex & Helen. Our website was one of my most favorite wedding projects, because I am enamored with graphic design and used to design and code websites, specifically for my former personal blog back in high school (See some past layouts here, here, here, here, here, and here). It is just a hobby and I am no expert by any means; it is all thanks to my computer programmer cousin who installed Photoshop 4.0 on my computer back in the day when the Internet was moving at the revolutionary pace of 56K. I haven't really designed layouts since high school, so getting the opportunity to fashion our wedding website was super fun and rather therapeutic.
