Friday Fancies: girl time

It is rarer these days that I get to hang out with dear friends, especially cherished girlfriends of yore. There is something so lovely about spending time with girlfriends and talking the hours away, wouldn't you agree? When Alex and I first started dating, he would always be so utterly fascinated by girls' ability to bond by chattering incessantly into the night. And I mean that he would seriously stare at us talk and talk and talk with his mouth slightly ajar. He attests that I am happier when I get, as he calls it, "girl time," and thoroughly encourages it. It is true what he says, I suppose. Especially when it is celebrating a birthday along with ten years of friendship with ravishing dear friend Shaina per above at a classy yet mellow downtown joint that facilitates hours of gabfesting, to our delight.
