It's the little things like puffy cotton candy clouds hovering above a skyline, sister city signs, red brick edifices, wooden street markers, colorful bunting flying cheerily in the sky, handmade leather purses, baskets of Mexican candy, the always-busy freeway, colorful macarons, and varied architecture spied on a leisurely amble through Downtown Los Angeles that makes me love the city ever more.
I was born and raised in Van Nuys, the San Fernando Valley. I have so many memories of downtown LA. So many. You've caputured it beautifully. I showed your blog to my husband and he agrees that you really have a special talent with the camera. It's so fun to look at, I really look forward to your posts.
As always amazing pictures. Downtown LA looks so pretty. The little things are important - it's what differentiates a town/city. Taking walks around town is something I love doing too. Hope you had a great weekend.
If my kids were with me they would for sure notice the candy, it's always all about candy. And then of course they would force me to buy some. That's not always a bad thing though :)
The biggest thing I notice about these photos, which are lovely, is the green! I love the snow, but I am more than ready for the leaves back on the trees.
