Thankful for a mellow weekend
How was your weekend, lovelies? We had such a mellow, relaxing, and all together lovely one. We didn't accomplish much besides attend the husband's seminary's annual banquet, to which he had been looking forward for months. I don't remember the Mister having been so excited to don a bowtie before. I forgot my camera that evening so all that remains are Instagrams. We had a grand time, particularly since I think it is so funny to see him in his element amidst a whole herd of seminarians who prattle so naturally about theology and philosophy. I am exceedingly thankful for how the Lord is working through the husband's diligent studies. I was especially blessed by his message this Sunday past on how to recognize a real man (of God). That was some good ol' truth for our souls. If ever you're hankering to attend a Sunday service in the Southern California area, you are so welcome to stop by our little church!

ReplyDeleteWe went to the beach on Saturday and to church on Sunday. :) It's great to hear that your husband is so involved with your religion. How to recognize a real man of God? That is so great that the subject is being taught, it's so important. Love your inspiring attitude, you are one lovely lady. Take great care,

our world needs more men of God as it constantly leans towards destructive behaviors. that is a great subject to be taught. sounds like a lovely weekend indeed helen!

i just found you on instagram helen! i just got instagram actually so i am sorry if all you see are photos of my dogs :-) a mellow weekend is a wonderful weekend and definitely necessary for sure! there is definitely a reason why God made Sunday as a rest day, He needed it after creating the world and knew that we would need it, He is always looking out for us
ReplyDeleteSo I am thinking your husband is a Pastor of sorts? I listened to some of his talk, reminds me of the Sunday school class I go to at my church. Good for both of you for doing His work, we need more people like you, truth tellers from the heart.
ReplyDeleteHi Helen! We met at the banquet; I'm the girl who reads your blog ;) This is proof that I do! Praise the Lord for our seminary men! Hope I see you around again sometime & we can hang out while the fellas talk about all the fun things they're learning in their morning Greek class :)
