Purposeful scouting

flea market
vintage jugs
vintage fabric
old storage
old street signs

There've been a higher frequency of jolly jaunts to the flea market and surrounding thrift stores of late, specifically since we have a little one for whom to prepare. It's always more fun when the scouting is purposeful rather than aimless. Usually, we leave with nothing in hand, but sometimes, we stumble upon a steal of a deal that we cannot pass up. There's such a euphoria to scoring lovely, old finds, wouldn't you agree? We are a long way from being ready for our little miss, but slowly, and surely, we shall get there (and perhaps pictures of prep will ensue)!

Oh, and toodles, Google Reader. I loved Google Reader, and I am a little bummed it's retired now. Thankfully, there are other options like Bloglovin' to stay updated on all the lovely blogs out there. Find me on Bloglovin' here!

  5. Feathering the nest is the best, especially when you can find unique, vintage goodies. You look absolutely adorable with your bump in the Catalina photos. And the cherry picking photos... so beautiful!! Hope you find lots of great things in preparation for your little lady. =)

  6. Yes, agree.. I love going to flea markets. I get so excited looking at others' belongings, and what I would do with everything! I rarely buy anything either, but if I do, it really is a steal :)

  9. Oh! Oh! Oh! Would you look at all those patchwork quilts! They're very rare to find here in Belgium, but there's just a ton of them in that one stall. I'm jealous. And my parents once told me that a lot of their baby stuff was found at thrift stores and flea markets as well. It saves a lot! x

  10. I had my eye on the perfect chair at our thrift store. I waited to purchase it until yesterday when everything in the store was 1/2 off, too late, it was gone! Lesson learned. Can't wait to see the nursery, I am sure it will be adorable!
