All cheery when cherry picking
When we went cherry picking for the first time last year, I was five and a half months pregnant with Serene, and Alex thought cherries looked like little bums. We had a swell time, so when cherry picking season rolled around this year, we were excited to bring the little miss along. We made the two hour drive up to the cherry farms two weekends ago, which seemed endless and slowly dissipated our high spirits because a screaming Serene was resolved not to take her morning nap. We were wiped out by the time we arrived. Thankful for my auntie and cousins who met us there and made cherry picking a raucous family affair. Plus, Serene had the jolliest time staring at the forest around her and reaching for the plump cherries. We gave her tiny bits for her to try, which she loved. Watching her garble and grab at the fruit in a giddy manner made the adventure rather endearing. Serene's simply joys that afternoon furthered Alex's and my thinking that adventuring has become sweeter with a sweet babe. So thankful for these opportunities to make memories with our family!

Serene's first cherry picking experience looks wonderful! To think it'll be even more fun for her as she gets older :)

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful day! I've never picked fresh fruit like that in a long time...way back when my grandparents had orange, plum, lemon and orange trees in their yard. Serenes little scratch looks so much better! xo
