Down in San Diego

We spent a couple of days in between the Christmas and New Year holidays down in San Diego with Alex's family, with Sea World as our primary destination. I was unabashedly hesitant to patronize the theme park since we watched Blackfish a few years ago. Sea World seems to have changed its marketing over the years (perhaps as a response to the documentary), and Alex joked that it helped ease his conscience. Alex was totally excited enough for all of us to be at Sea World, and I have to admit it was so fun witnessing the kids exclaim over the marine animals up close. I love my husband's and children's childlike awe.
