We woke up on Saturday morning to Alex exclaiming, "It's a beautiful day. Let's go to the pier." We love his spontaneity. We don't recall the last free Saturday we've had where Alex wasn't scheduled to preach the next day, which made for a blissfully relaxed morning. As we passed downtown on the way to the Westside, we revealed to the kids we were heading to La La Land. We're all obsessed with the soundtrack ever since Alex and I watched the movie a few weeks ago. The kids and I dance to it daily and Serene was so excited to point out all the tall buildings. I adore the city and miss it often (I lived there before getting married). It was such a beautifully sunny January day that I kept thinking we are so blessed to live in Southern California. I had to snap touristy photos to commemorate Valor's first time at the pier. I also planned to take a belly photo since I've neglected to do so this entire pregnancy thus far, but alas, it didn't happen. I think I'm 29 weeks along; I can't believe how quickly this pregnancy has flown. Which reminds me - I shall write a pregnancy update soon.
