We celebrated Father's Day a day late. The chips off the old block made a card and baked chocolate chip cookies for their daddy while he was at work today. Valor employed oil pastels to scribble on a few pieces of paper, which I used to glue "chips off the old block" cut out of construction paper. It served as a garland backdrop for photos. The kids were so excited to surprise their daddy for they love him so and proudly proclaim him the best daddy in the world. Freshly baked chocolate chip cookies also helped to lift everyone's spirits, as evidenced by the above pictures. My heart soars to witness Alex love and lead our children in the ways of the Lord. He models the gospel in our home, setting the example for the kids to follow. So thankful that the kids are learning that though we sin and disobey God, Jesus died on the cross for our sins so that we could be made right with God. We don't deserve Alex, but we are so thankful God gifted him to us.
