We retreated to Palm Springs earlier this week so that Alex and the other elder of our church could plan intensively without distraction. It was also an anticipated avenue for our families to rest and relax together. We had a wonderful time and were thoroughly blessed by church family's hospitality and kindness. Alex and I even got to steal away for a date one evening, of which we took full advantage over all-you-can-eat sushi and a picturesque stroll through The Parker Palm Springs. The sushi was mediocre and it was at least 110 degrees as we ambled about, but having quality time just between us and Reverie (who was incredibly sweet and easygoing the whole time), was quite precious. I just remember laughing at each other a lot while reflecting on how I've a gem of a husband. The getaway was a refreshment to our souls. Thank you, Lord.
