Letters to Reverie: 4 months
My dear Reverie Hope,
Your four greatest achievements on your four month birthday include 1. rolling from back to tummy - you observe the world and kick your legs while on your back, roll over to your side often, and have several times rolled onto your tummy; 2. mastering tummy time - your head has grown steadier and you enjoy tummy time now; 3. growling - you're experiencing with your voice and have added hilarious guttural growling to complement your sweet cooing; and 4. sucking your thumb - you've begun drooling and can be found with fingers in your mouth at all times. You've found your thumb and will suck on it to soothe yourself to sleep. It is pretty much the cutest sight.
You are a ball of joy, my sweet baby. You smile infectiously in the presence of others, and you even smile serenely in your sleep. You soothe yourself to sleep for naps most of the time unless the house is a bit too noisy for you don't want to miss out on the fun around you. You wake up about twice a night to nurse, and nurse every 2-3 hours during the day. You just hit 13 pounds and 24 inches long, exactly the same size as your big sister at this age. You're wearing 3 month and 3-6 month clothing, size 2 diapers, and size 0 shoes. You light up the room and everyone is enamored by you, for you dole out smiles so enthusiastically that your whole body wiggles in delight. We're not sure how we got blessed with such an easygoing and content babe, but we are so grateful you are ours for the time being.
Love you so,
Mama
P.S. Reverie at 0, 1, 2, and 3 months. Plus, her birth story.
