The kids have been learning letter Ll, which was a perfect opportunity to talk about love as it relates to Valentine's Day, God's great love for us in Christ, and the love we are able to show one another because He loved us first. We made valentines for the ones we love last week, while on Valentine's Day, we surprised the kids with a simple but special breakfast. They had been requesting donuts, so donuts they received alongside heart-shaped strawberries to dunk into Nutella. Alex gave them each hearts as he does every year and they opened little gifts to encourage their creativity. That night, Alex and I stole away for a little date while our dear church family babysat the kids. Thankful for my sweet husband, my everyday valentine, and our little valentines. They are truly gifts from God because of His surpassing love for us in Christ.
