Father's Day was peachy. We ate dinner with my dad here, where they boast the tastiest fried rice in a scorching skillet. It was gratifying to simply spend time with my family, as I don't see them very often. As you can perceive in the photo above, my dashing daddy rocked a legit perm back in the day. And I was quite the chubby child. My momma would always tell my brother and me as we were growing up how extremely hard my dad works as a postman in Los Angeles, braving sweltering sun rays, weathering wind and rain, and facing territorial canines as he ambles along his route to deliver to folks their packages and post, year after year, for as long as I have been alive. That's why he's so skinny, she would add. I am so thankful for my dad who has always displayed unconditional love through his sacrificial provisions for the family, which is a mere shadow of the heavenly Father's love for us. When I look back on these aged snapshots, it baffles me how swiftly time passes. Now I'm married, and my poppa had to give me away over three months ago.
Anyway, the weekend beheld an unforeseen twist because I got food poisoning from a barbeque we attended, so I tarried away most of the weekend feeling thoroughly useless in bed. I'm taking today off from work to recover some more. Hope you had a lovely weekend celebrating your poppas, dear friends.
Hope the new place and adjustment been well since post college. On my last year of college, seems like it is harder on fam side than with school work. You've been strong!!!
