Friday Fancies: good things and a cuppa tea
I am so relieved it's Friday. This week, combined with the past few weeks, have been a ceaseless whirlwind, as evidenced by this umpteenth cuppa tea I'm downing. I am so tired, but as I reflect, I am so thankful for the sources of my tiredness: work, dear church family, our little home, sweet friends, our community - all good gifts from the Lord that reflect his abounding grace. I must remember to apply this for I am oft tempted to do otherwise in times of busyness. Praise God for His ultimate goodness in Christ. Here are some other good things I've stumbled upon that are too good not to share: these entrancing and moving color photographs of America circa the early 1940s, which comprise of a raw capture of life back then that the movie industry cannot seem to replicate; and this post, which encourages us to have a hopeful election perspective centered on our ultimate source of hope, as we anticipate election day next week. Have a wonderful weekend, dear friends!

This is such a sweet picture. My great-grandma used to give me her teacups and your photo reminds me of that.
