Thank you so much for your kind words on my previous post and Instagram announcement. You are all such an encouragement to my heart! So grateful to be able to learn from you all in this season of life. With the dawn of stay-at-home mamahood comes plans to craft more often. I have been itching to sew again since this last project. The opportunity arrived last week in preparation for a dear friend's baby shower. I whipped up a trio of stuffed teethers out of fabric and felt for their sweet little chick. These three tweet toys look more charming than their first prototype. The first versions of sewn projects always make me laugh; they never turn out as I envision. I scrapped the first pattern I drew for these stuffed bird baubles, and ended up with one that fit the bill, thankfully. I am loving simple fabric toys for babies - classic-looking, quick to make, and well loved by little ones. These also served a dual purpose as cheery touches to the baby shower decor, which shall be revealed in a forthcoming post.

  2. I entirely support you and congratulate you in your new endeavour dear! I think that is the best thing, to be able to be with Serene - and your future babies. And, I will order these all the way from South Africa should I have babies someday, promise!
