Upholding the summer tradition

las vegas trip 2013
I'm a week late, but I hope you all had a jolly July 4th holiday! We tarried away ours in Vegas with a brief family vacation over the long weekend. Though the nine of us had bushels of fun in one another's company, it was a sweltering, slightly humid 120 degrees Fahrenheit, so we got well-acquainted with the A/C during our stint there. I didn't take too many pictures because I kept forgetting my camera, but I managed to snap some Instagrams. All we're inclined to do when we're in Vegas is chow down, shop, and watch shows, so we indulged in a legendary buffet and decadent red velvet pancakes, hit up a slew of outlets, and caught Cirque du Soleil's Love, along with Jersey Boys. Now we can't stop singing the Four Seasons' catchy tunes. We went on our first family jaunt to Vegas this time last year, so it seems as if we're upholding a sweet new tradition! So thankful to the Lord that I can call these lovely people family.

P.S. I'll be in Detroit next week for a work conference. I've never been, but please feel free to suggest tasty eateries and things to do if you've been to Motown. Many thanks!
